* Dharma School Parent Group to sponsor graduation luncheon 06/16/2008
* Board still looking into quotes/estimates for cleaning services
* Rev. Masuda to begin a Liturgy class; details to follow
* Jodo Shin Shu Center Funding; Wayne Montgomery-Fact Funding Committee; Sherry Kawazoye-Fund Raising Committee; initial loan from Endowment Fund, now looking for additional loan from the Endowment Fund, again

Janet Kameda BDBWL/FBWA Conference:
* October 2007 conference date

Temple Picnic

Ruby Inouye Scholarship
* Brandon Yanari announced as this year’s recipient; will be announced at graduation service, last Dharma School service for the year; Brandon will read his essay

FBWA Workshop Presenters:
* Discussion about how to thank presenters
* The “orei” should be from Bay District
* 06.23.2007 deadline for registration

Artistry Faire:
* Reiko Kameda presented updated information
* Food Preparation-Irene to ask for a chairman
* Discussion about the location of food sale; will not be in same location as last year, not accessible, need more signs, “rethink” food pricing

* Jodo Shin Center; Berkeley
* Looking into vegetarian cuisine; based on Buddhist temples
* Using Pacific Film Archive
* Rev. Umezu working with committee on study group ideas
* Suggested theme: Buddhism in our Daily Lives
* Tabled discussion if retreat should be open to PABWA members only to members of other temples

NEW BUSINESS

FBWA Secretary General Nomination
* Janet Kameda presented information to the membership about the position
* Reported suggested nomination of Joyce Maniwa of Alameda Buddhist Temple
* Janet to discuss position with Ms. Maniwa to see if she is interested; she would be a good candidate
