BUDDHIST WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION
In 2021, the Buddhist Women’s Association’s Scholarship in honor of Ruby Inouye was awarded to Thomas McGall and Josh Tanaka. Thomas graduated from Palo Alto High School in Palo Alto and is a student at the University of California at Los Angeles. Josh graduated from Gunn High School in Palo Alto and is a student at the University of Washington.
ABOUT BWA
Come and join us - we welcome everyone young and old. We practice and learn Buddhism through shared experiences and educational activities to promote personal spiritual growth and support the temple community .
EDUCATION & OUTREACH
Most of our efforts pertaining to this program involve studying new approaches and developing innovative ways to implement them. We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
We see every challenge as an opportunity, and this initiative helps us ensure that our partners are better prepared to manage the unique situations they find themselves in. We are invested in an innovative approach that empowers our community and delivers the support they need, when they need it.
