Ireichō @ PABT
We are excited to announce the Ireicho national tour is coming to Palo Alto Buddhist Temple June 5-7, 2025!
Ireicho, the Book of Names, contains the names of the 125,284 Japanese Americans who were incarcerated during World War II.
The Ireicho monument is named after the Japanese term for “consoling the
spirits.” The Ireicho national tour began on the Day of Remembrance at the
National Archives and Smithsonian National Museum and will continue
through 2026.
To honor the Ireicho coming to PABT, we will be holding an opening and closing ceremony. Everyone is invited to joint.
